Team behind Hobsonville Point acknowledged
We were honoured to receive the WSP New Zealand Best Team Award at the Auckland Property People Awards last month, presented by the Property Council of New Zealand’s Auckland.
The judging panel noted that everyone within our organisation is aligned, from the board to the front desk, to achieve outstanding results. They described our team as “effective and resilient, strongly implementing their vision and achieving their goals.”
The Best Team award is an acknowledgement of those behind the quality of the development being achieved at Hobsonville Point, already one of Auckland’s most sought-after residential communities.
Hobsonville Point is New Zealand’s largest residential development, transforming the former Hobsonville air force base into around 5,000 homes, as well as parks, shops, schools and the Catalina Bay waterfront precinct, home to the award-winning Hobsonville Point Farmers Market.
Around 4,000 live at Hobsonville Point, and the number of residents will grow to around 11,000 by the time the development is completed in 2024.
HLC chief executive Chris Aiken says, “The award recognises the long-serving HLC team responsible for the work on Hobsonville Point, delivering a wide range of homes, including affordable homes, for Auckland.” He was particularly pleased to win the team award. “It acknowledges the great efforts of the HLC board, staff, development partners, and our family of consultants that have delivered such a great project.”
